Towne Street Theatre performed a staged reading at the
Leimert Park Theater Festival on Saturday, August 25th
with a reading of a new play by Harriet Dickey, writer of popular TST plays Joleta, Jackleg and Millennium in Black.

Lillie Mae Grimes is ecstatic that her children are returning home to South Carolina a year after her husband has died. Together, she and her children have plans to make their beachfront property a resort community reminiscent of those exclusive to African-Americans back in the days of segregation. Unfortunately, there is no will and chaos soon ensues...
